MASSKRUGSTEMMEN

Masskrugstemmen is a traditional Bavarian endurance contest that literally translates to “lift mass pitcher”.  Contestants must hold a 1 liter stein of beer in one outstretched arm for as long as possible.  The filled stein weighs roughly five pounds and must be kept parallel to the ground at all times.  He or she who holds their liter the longest will be declared champion and be recognized on The Basement walls forever more.  

The Basement's inaugural Masskrugstemmen Champion was declared October 28, 2016 when Robert L held his stein for a time of 5 minutes, 51 seconds.
